At the beginning of the workshop, participants will take photos using a mobile phone to gather information of colour and composition in the environment. SCAP finalist, Margaret Turner, will guide participants to use these images as inspiration for their sketching, learning to simplify the pattern and composition of the images, and experiment with various colour palettes.

Participants will choose 5 sketches and 5 colour palettes to work with and develop onto DL paper, and discuss choices made with other workshop participants.
