FEMININUS: Exhibition
FEMININUS: Exhibition
According to Jungian Psychology there are seven feminine archetypes that prevail in contemporary society today – the mother, the maiden, the queen, the huntress, the wise woman, sage and the lover. The presence of these archetypes account for the major differences among women.
Award-winning milliner and designer Melanie Jeffers, in collaboration with choreographer Melissa Lanham, present FEMININUS (Latin for feminine); a unique and hybrid exhibition of the seven archetypes of the feminine form. The project will feature three main components; an opening night with a performance, an exhibition and workshops.
The exhibition will display the seven FEMININUS characters presented alongside a video display of the opening night performance.
While you're at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden, make sure you also check out The Whale's Tale (Fri 24 - Sun 26 Aug) and the Our Sunshine Coast photography exhibition (Fri 24 - Thur 30 Aug). If you feel like a hot beverage or snacks while you're exploring the gardens, the Compass Cafe will be open between 9am - 2:30pm each day.
