Music on Kings - Hot August Night
Music on Kings - Hot August Night
Get ready for some 'beautiful noise' at Hot August Night, a free family friendly concert on the opening weekend of Horizon Festival.
Acclaimed musician Darren Percival will take to the stage for an exciting Neil Diamond inspired night of 70’s music hosted by Mix FM's 'sweet' Caroline.
In August 1972 Neil Diamond recorded the iconic 70’s live album Hot August Night. Relive this golden era of music at a free open-air concert at the Kings Beach amphitheatre. Darren Percival and his eight-piece band, The Business, will belt-out some of your favourite 70’s classics by Fleetwood Mac, Blondie, James Taylor, The Beatles, Al Green, Elton John and Bruce Springsteen and a tribute to Neil Diamond.
Joining the line-up are a number of young local musicians including Mason Hope and Genevieve Langford.
Hot August Night will be sure to have everyone up and dancing to the iconic tunes that everyone remembers from the 70’s.
A special gold coin collection will be held on the evening with all proceeds going to 92.7 Mix FM's Give Me 5 for Kids, making a real difference to the lives of the children of the Sunshine Coast and their families.
This is a free event for which you do not need a ticket. You can register your interest to receive updates about the event and important information for your attendance.
