The Bunker Collective, a collaboration between Peripheral Arts and Writers Republic, presents a signature event series called ‘The Bunker’. The series will capture local stories and poetry through spoken word workshops, culminating in the main competition event held on the final weekend of Horizon.

There are two heats separated into poetry and storytelling, which will determine who will compete/perform at the main event at The Bunker, Imperial Hotel Eumundi.

The storytelling heat will feature guest storyteller Chris Allery accompanied by musician Sue Ray. Pre-registered participants will deliver their performance piece to three judges in the hope of securing a place in the Bunker competition final.

Note: Heats are open to the public for a $5 cover charge to be paid at the door.
