GooseChase winners flock to Adelaide

The winners of the Horizon Festival 2017 GooseChase competition have been announced with the Cunningham family now looking forward to a trip to Adelaide.

Sarah Cunningham and her three children - Isabella (aged 13), Guy (aged 11) and Rory (aged 8) had ear to ear smiles when they heard they had won the holiday after completing Horizon’s online adventure hunt.

“We had so much fun doing the GooseChase and I have to admit the children were the driving force,” Sarah said.

“They thought up new ways to do the challenges and not a day went by when they didn’t discover something new in the festival.”

The family won four return economy flights to Adelaide, vouchers for the Adelaide Fringe Festival, three nights’ accommodation at The Watson Art Series Hotel, an UBER credit and more.

The runners-up did not leave empty-handed either with a variety of electronics awarded thanks to Telstra.

GooseChase was run as part of the Horizon Festival from August 18 to September 3.

Contestants were tasked to complete missions during the festival to earn points, with bonus points awarded for creativity.

Horizon Festival will be on again next year from August 24 to September 2 and will include 10 arts-fuelled days across the Sunshine Coast with more than 200 events in visual art, film, literature, performance, street art, comedy, music, theatre and new media.

The Horizon Festival GooseChase was supported by Telstra and Adelaide Fringe.
